Ved avropet ønsker trykkeriet at dere legger inn et anslag på hvor mange stemmesedler dere planlegger å bestille. Anslaget er ikke bindende, men gir trykkeriet en pekepinn på det totale behovet for stemmesedler.
Det er ikke nødvendig å ha all informasjon klar nå. Trykkeriet vil følge opp avropet for å få alle detaljer på plass med sikte på å utforme en ordrebekreftelse. Det er først når ordrebekreftelsen er sendt at avropet blir en bindende avtale mellom trykkeriet og fylkeskommunen.

Fylker med ansvar for to valgdistrikter
Noen fylkeskommuner har ansvar for to valgdistrikter. Det gjelder
- Innlandet fylkeskommune (Hedmark og Oppland valgdistrikt)
- Agder fylkeskommune (Aust-Agder og Vest-Agder)
- Vestland fylkeskommune (Hordaland og Sogn og Fjordane)
- Trøndelag fylkeskommune (Sør-Trøndelag og Nord-Trøndelag)
Fylkeskommunene dette gjelder kan gjøre ett samlet avrop for begge distrikter. Den endelige bestillingen som skjer senere må imidlertid gjøres per distrikt det skal gjennomføres valg i. Trykkeriet ønsker imidlertid at det gis et anslag på antall stemmesedler for hvert av de to distriktene i avropsskjemaet.
Eksempel: Innlandet fylke sender inn kun ett avropsskjema der de oppgir et estimat for Hedmark og Oppland hver for seg. Når den endelige bestillingen skjer må det bestilles for Hedmark og Oppland separat.
